Found a lot of great ideas and processes that our agency can possibly use for analysis of client’s SEO traffic. The ‘missed opportunity’ metric was also an interesting concept.
The missed opportunity keyword metric is calculated as follows:
([Keyword Traffic] – [Theoretical Keyword Traffic] )/ [Theoretical Keyword Traffic]
If that difference is large, you then need to figure out what is causing those differences.
