Jay has 20+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing and e-commerce. Trained as both a research chemist and marketer (with a M.S. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Missouri and an M.B.A from the University of Kansas), Jay jumped into the digital industry in 1995, when e-commerce was still in its infancy.
Having a science background deeply informs Jay’s passion as a digital marketer. As a former chemist, he understands the critical importance of testing (and re-testing) before deployment, deep data analysis, and resourcefulness in the clutch.
Jay’s venture capital-backed e-commerce startup, Cephas, grew to over $2.5M in revenue and built e-commerce web sites for national brands, winning the IBM “National Business Partner of the Year” award in 1999.
Jay and his writer wife live in a 100-year-old bungalow west of the Plaza in Kansas City.
Brian has worked in design and communication arts for almost 30 years, infusing elegant concepts with his own unique style of pattern, color, layout, and typography.
He has worked with national brands on a wide variety of design projects, including mobile apps, e-commerce site design, logos, branding, and more.
Brian is also a painter and is very active in the arts community in Lawrence, Kansas.
Hussain enjoys demystifying digital analytics and helping our clients create and implement data-driven insights in the decision-making process.
He spends his days working with Google Analytics, Kissmetrics, Mixpanel, and Google Tag Manager, along with setting up tracking tags for a large variety of digital advertising platforms.
Hussain’s skillset incorporates the best of both marketing and software development, and he enjoys collaborating and translating metrics into actionable insights.

Jasmin is passionate about link development, search engine optimization (SEO), and digital marketing.
With over 10 years of experience, Jasmin is a guru with a variety of digital marketing project toolsets like: Basecamp, Trello, Asana, Moz along with SEO tools like: Advanced Web Ranking, Screaming Frog, Buzzstream and Buzzsumo.
A skilled interviewer, Mollie also shines at online bios and “Who Are We?” narratives that resonate with target audiences. She is a voracious reader, cat lover, defender of the Oxford comma, and the better half of our company’s founder.
With decades of experience in both digital and print-based graphic design, corporate branding, and advertising, Lisa focuses on making our content campaigns look and function better.
A lifelong learner and enthusiastic collaborator, she stays connected to trends and tools that enhance design solutions. Lisa is fanatic about mascot costumes and running, and is proud to have hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon with a backpack full of freeze-dried beer.
